5. IECEx certification
The IECEx is an international certification for equipment for use in explosive atmospheres. It is established by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) to facilitate international trade in equipment and services for use in explosive atmospheres, while maintaining the required level of safety.

6. ATEX certification
The ATEX refers to the Directive 94/9/EC on Equipment and Protective Systems intended for use in potentially Explosive Atmospheres. The name ATEX derives from its French name: Appareils destinés à être utilisés en ATmosphères EXplosibles. The conformity to ATEX directive is compulsory for the equipment used in all EU member states.
