Support for high power factor loads (kVA = kW)

With the widespread use of power factor correction (PFC) circuits, power can be supplied effectively to load equipment with high power factors (1.0).

High output power density (kW/m2)

The industry's highest output power [kW] per installation area has been achieved by increasing the output power [kW] in the same installation space required by conventional units. (300 kVA unit)

Redundant cooling fans

By means of an efficient arrangement of multiple small cooling fans, power supplied by the UPS can be continued even if one cooling fan stops. This function improves the availability of the system. (When operating in the recommended operating environment.)

Support for various types of systems

This UPS is adaptable to the configuration of high-reliability systems (parallel redundant operation mode, common stand-by operation, etc.), and by applying our own fully independent parallel redundant operation method, which does not have a common control section, parallel redundant operation systems can be constructed. Up to 8 units can be operated in parallel, and large-scale system configurations are supported. In addition, this UPS can be applied to various types of systems such as collective busbar, multiple busbar, common battery and others.

Grid-friendly load transfer function

This function gradually shifts the load to the direct feed (bypass) circuit by controlling the inverter output current when manually switching from the inverter supply to direct feed (bypass) power supply such as for maintenance inspections. This function can suppress abrupt load changes to the grid power side and reduce voltage fluctuations.

Large touch panel

A large, wide-format 7-inch touch panel is used for operation and display screens. Operation guidance, operation status, and measurements of each part can be checked more easily.

Long-life fans (Expected service life: 15 years *) (option)

Long-life fans with significantly extended expected service life are available as an optional replacement for standard fans (with expected service life of 5 years *). Use of these long-life fans are an effective means of reducing parts replacement costs.

Enhanced network system (option)

With the installation of an optional Web/SNMP card, it is possible to monitor the status of the UPS using a web browser, receive event notifications by email, perform remote maintenance, shut down multiple servers, and monitor the status using SNMP manager software (JEMA-MIB supported).

Storage battery specifications (service life and backup time)

Storage battery types and overview

A UPS will use storage batteries to supply power when the grid power supply fails. However, it is not economical to provide power from batteries during a long power outage. Normally, batteries are assumed to provide backup power for only a short time, and for long power outages of over 30 minutes, it is more economical to use an in-house emergency power generator.

Although there are various types of storage batteries available for use, mainly for economic reasons UPS systems normally use lead-acid storage batteries with a high rate of discharge. For reference, we provide the following overview comparing typical types of storage batteries.
