Upgrade service details

This new service gives the registered users of Expert (D300win) direct access to the latest version of the software through the upgrade feature on the Fuji Electric FA website. Users can download the most recent version of the software from the website at their convenience.

Name of the upgrade file for SX-Programmer: ExpertUpdateV37427.exe

Main changes in the latest version: V3.7.4.27 (October 2024)

(1) Improvement of function
  • Support new CPU series.
    - SPH2200 (NP1PM-048RN / NP1PM-048EN)
    - SPH3300 (NP1PU-048EN / NP1PU-096EN / NP1PU-128EN / NP1PU-256EN)

  • Add Model Transition Function to support migration to the new CPU series.

  • The RAS file saving function for failure diagnosis has been expanded.
    - Added the function to save extended information.

  • Added a setting item to upgrade the firmware manually, open Start menu > Tool > Systemsoft utility(SPF).

  • A list of models that support specific CPU-specific instructions can now be checked from The FB/function help.
    Accordingly, The supported models have been removed from The instruction descriptions in The Edit Wizard.

  • [Includes timestamps] option is added on Project control > Download > Changed program.

  • For SPH5000H, when the Redundancy setting is changed from [System redundancy] to [Redundancy OFF], number of System FB related to Redundancy (Pulse, FILTER_REAL, etc.) in the memory allocation setting are clreaned to zero.

  • EC_DEV_READ and EC_DEV_WRITE, which are SPH5000EC-specific commands, have been removed from the Edit Wizard.

  • It is now possible to save the settings specified in the POU import options.

  • When importing POUs, if a large number of global variables are imported, the overwrite confirmation message
    that is displayed now displays a list of the names of the global variables to be overwritten.

  • Notes on Using SX-Programmer Expert(D300win) are updated.
    - Added [15. project conversion.]

  • In the V3.7 series, it is now possible to define specific names (NOP, RDT, NOPDD) as variable names.

  • Modbus Ethernet FB has been upgraded to V1.1.2.2.

  • SPF FW has been upgraded to V12.

  • Windows 11 Supporte.

  • Support for Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 has ended.

  • Improved slow compilation times when using Windows Defender.

(2) Problem correction
  • In the LD/FBD editor, even if the circuit was changed to a state where POUs could be changed, the "Patch POU" button was not enabled. This problem has been fixed.

  • In the new sampling trace added in Expert V3.7(Run from system difintion), when sampling trace is repeatedly executed, [address information are not solved] error occurred in variable registration. This bus is fixed.

  • When importing an IEC61131-3 file, if there are three or more lines of line feed codes at the end of the variable declaration VAR_END, the variable definition is imported into the ST code worksheet. This has been improved.

  • Fixed a bug in the EtherCAT Configurator.
    - Fixed a problem in which the SPH5000EC would become fatal fault error if the EtherCAT configuration included a module that did not have a station number set in the slave itself.
    - Fixed a problem in which the SPH5000EC did not start up in a system configuration that included a slave that was added by copying and pasting a configured slave.
    - Fixed a problem where the configurator would terminate abnormally when certain backup parameters were entered.

  • Fixed a bug in the SXPLC simulator.
    - In a multi-CPU configuration, if the IP address of built-in Ethernet are same, the message indicating that the IP addresses are duplicated is no longer displayed
    - Fixed a problem where the on-line monitor would terminate abnormally when running a project with multiple configurations and resources.

  • Fixed a bug in the logging function.
    - In theWhen selecting sample targets, if you registered multiple variables and then selected one variable, pressing the "Clear all" button would cause an exception with logging setting tool. This has now been fixed.
    - In the variable selection screen displayed on the waveform monitor, if you registered variables that exceeded the screen limit, the variable with the highest number would not be registered. This problem has been fixed.

  • In order to use the project used in this version with V3.6, specify the old version (V3.6) format and save it by "Save Project As/Zip Project As".

  • The project file used with this version cannot be opened on the previous version (before V3.5.4.14).

Upgrading procedure

  1. 1.

    Create a new folder on the computer's hard disk.

  2. 2.

    Download the V3.7.4.27 upgrade file (ExpertUpdateV37427.exe) to the new folder.

  3. 3.

    Double click the downloaded file. (The upgrade is a self-extracting file.)

  4. 4.

    The file will be extracted to the same folder.

  5. 5.

    Double click the extracted Setup.exe file.

  6. 6.

    Follow the prompts from the installer program to upgrade the software.

  7. 7.

    Expert (D300win) will start up when the installation is completed. Check Info from the Help menu to make sure the version number is V 3.7.4.27.

NOTE
To use on after Windows Vista, administrator's right is necessary for the installation. Install the program according to the procedure below.
Select “Setup.exe” in the Explorer window after extracting the update file, and right-click this.
Select "As the administrator" from the right-clicking menu.
Following the instructions from the installer to install the program.

Upgrading precautions

  1. 1.

    Make sure that NP4H-SEDBV3/Expert (D300win) is already installed on the computer prior to upgrading the software.

  2. 2.

    The software cannot be upgraded if the computer does not have Expert (D300win) version 3.0.0.0 or later already installed on it.

  3. 3.

    Do not begin the installation if the upgrade file is not exactly the same size as the file that was downloaded. If they are not the same size, throw all of them into the trash and download the upgrade file again.

  4. 4.

    Be sure to quit all programs that are currently running (e.g., Expert (D300win), SX control utility, or message manager) prior to the installation.

  5. 5.

    If the installation fails due to an error, try to install the software again. If the installation fails again, re-install the previous version of Expert (D300win) from the setup CD and then try to install the upgrade software again.

  6. 6.

    You may compile all POUs and download to PLC after upgrade. It's recommended to upgrade at the timing which can stop PLC.
