Fuji Electric fulfills its social responsibilities as responsible corporate citizens in a global society, and participates in and endorses various initiatives both in Japan and overseas to contribute towards achieving a safe, secure and sustainable society.

General

The United Nations Global Compact(UNGC)

The United Nations Global Compact is a voluntary initiative for businesses and organizations to participate in creating a global framework that realizes sustainable growth and enables them to act as a good member of society, through the display of responsible and creative leadership.
Fuji Electric declared in February 2010 that it would participate in the UNGC. Participants voluntarily uphold ten principles in human rights, labor standards, environment and anti-corruption, and are expected to implement activities designed to realize sustainable growth.

CDP

CDP A LIST 2023 CLIMATE

Fuji Electric has been commended for its climate action this year, achieving a place on global environmental impact non-profit CDP's prestigious ‘A List’ for climate change, for the 5th consecutive year, based on the company’s climate reporting in 2023.
CDP is a global non-profit that drives companies and governments to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions, safeguard water resources and protect forests.

SBT(Science Based Targets)

Science Based Targets

In December, 2022, our Scope1,2 and Scope3(1-8,11) targets have been approved as 1.5˚C targets by the SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative).
SBTi is the International Climate Change Initiative that was co-founded by UNGC (United Nations Global Compact), CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project as a former name), WRI (World Resources Institute) and WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature).

Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosure

Since endorsing the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD) in June 2020, we have updated our disclosures in line with TCFD recommendations.

GX League

The GX League is a framework established by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry for a group of companies aiming to achieve sustainable growth in our current and future society by taking on the challenge of GX (green transformation) while focusing on achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 and transforming society.
Fuji Electric has been participating in the GX League since September 2023.

Society

Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA) "CSR Committee"

As a member of the JEITA CSR Committee, we address various CSR-related issues common to the industry, and also participate in activities such as research, studies, dissemination and external recommendations from a specialist standpoint on CSR.
Furthermore, we have been participating in JEITA’s Responsible Minerals Trade Working Group and making every effort to prevent the use of minerals which may involve such matters as human rights violations.

Tokyo Human Rights Awareness Business Association

We are a member of the Tokyo Human Rights Awareness Business Association and are continually working to promote and improve human rights awareness through initiatives that involve sharing issues and holding dialogue with member companies.
