Hakko Electronics Releases Programmable Display [MONITOUCH V9 Series]

Tokyo, May 7, 2014 - Hakko Electronics Co., Ltd. (Hakusan City, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan; President: Yoshiro Imamura), a subsidiary of Fuji Electric Co., Ltd. (TSE:6504) (headquartered in Tokyo, Japan; President: Michihiro Kitazawa; hereafter "FE"), hereby announces the release of the MONITOUCH V9 Series of programmable displays.
1．Background
The use of advanced network technologies such as the centralized control of information and the remote monitoring and operation of equipment at production sites has been promoted recently in manufacturing industries. On the other hand, due to the globalization of production activities, information gathering and management are problems not only for Japanese sites, but also for overseas bases.
Programmable displays are products that indicate the operational status of production lines in factories and allow you to operate various types of equipment. Against this backdrop, we developed the MONITOUCH V9 Series, which has significantly enhanced network functions compared with existing models.
These products are targeted for Japan, the United States, and Europe where advanced information management is required. They will contribute globally to production site problem resolution.
2．Product Features
1) Centralized monitoring of data around the world using cloud technology
These products have enabled centralized monitoring by using a cloud server for the first time in the industry. V9 Series products placed in multiple bases including factories will regularly send operational information to a cloud server through the network. When administrators access the cloud server from their PCs, they will be able to centralize and monitor all on-site information around the world.
2) Establishment of safe and secure network environments
VPN (Virtual Private Network) with robust security is incorporated as a standard function. The use of a VPN for remote connections prevents the theft and falsification of transmitted data to establish a safe and secure network environment.
3) Access from mobile devices
If you install a dedicated application in a smart phone or tablet terminal, the V9 Series screens will be displayed and you can perform operations. In addition, an access-point function is built in* so even in environments without access points, it is still possible to connect to the network.
4) Smooth operation
The application of an electrostatic capacity system* has enabled gesture operations like a smart phone. If you push out the screen with your fingers, the displayed screen can be enlarged up to 200%. Further, after enlargement, you can shift the displayed screen by scrolling to check the fine details of the whole image.
