Announcement Regarding a Change in Representative Directors

Fuji Electric Co., Ltd. announced its informal decision today to change the Company’s representative directors following a Board of Directors meeting held on March 22, 2012. Brief details are presented as follows.

1. Details of changes

Executive Vice President and Representative Director Yoshio Okuno Executive Vice President and Director
Executive Vice President and Representative Director Hisao Shigekane Executive Vice President and Director

Note

Yoshio Okuno and Hisao Shigekane are scheduled to take up the position of Executive Vice President, effective April 1, 2012.

2. Scheduled Date of Change

The change in representative directors shall be officially ratified by the Board of Directors at a meeting to be held following the Company’s Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders scheduled for June 2012.

3. Reasons for the Change

Fuji Electric has decided to adopt a three-member representative director structure with the appointment of an additional representative director in order to rejuvenate and further strengthen management.

Mitsunori Shirakura will resign from his position as Executive Vice President, effective March 31, 2012. Yoshio Okuno and Hisao Shigekane are scheduled to take up the position of Executive Vice President, effective April 1, 2012.
