Handling of Personal Information Provided in Inquiries
1.To enable Fuji Electric (hereinafter referred to as "FE") to respond appropriately to your inquiry, please ensure that you make the correct selections regarding products, services, company information and other information.
2.Please be aware that, depending on the content of your request, FE may be unable to respond or may require some time to prepare a response.
3.Personal information provided by customers in relation to or as part of an inquiry (hereinafter referred to as "customer information") will be handled in accordance with the items set out below. Please ensure that you agree with all of these items before using the inquiry facilities available on this site. At your own discretion, you may refuse to provide customer information, but FE may be unable to provide a response in the event that certain information is not received.
(1)Handling of customer information
Customer information provided via the inquiry page on this website will be managed strictly in accordance with the Fuji Electric Privacy Policy.
(2)Intended use of customer information
Customer information will be used for the purpose of FE’s business affairs to fulfill or otherwise process requests from the customer to whom the information pertains.
(3)Disclosure of customer information
FE will not disclose customer information to third parties except in the following circumstances:
・Disclosure of such information is necessary to protect human lives, to prevent injury or suffering, or to protect property, even when permission for such use is not readily forthcoming from the customer.
・Disclosure of such information is legally required.
・Customer information is entrusted to third parties in accordance with Paragraph (4) below.
・Customer information is provided to third parties in accordance with Paragraph (5) below.
・All or part of FE' business activities are transferred to another party due to corporate mergers, corporate separations, the sale or transfer of operations, or other reasons.
(4)Entrusting customer information to third parties
When it is determined that responding to a customer inquiry through any of Fuji Electric' affiliated companies or subcontractors would be appropriate to such extent as is necessary to achieve the stated purpose, Fuji Electric may provide the details of the inquiry, including customer information, to such parties. In such circumstances, Fuji Electric takes responsibility for appropriately monitoring the use of such personal information by the third party. The purpose of use of such information by the entrusted third parties shall be same as stated in 3.(2) .
(5)Providing customer information to third parties
If your inquiry is related to affiliated companies, we may forward your inquiry, including your personal information, to the company responsible for answering your inquiry via the inquiry management system or by e-mail so that the company can reply to you. (9)Deletion of Customer Information
FE will delete the customer information of any customer, including the contents of inquiries, after three (3) years have elapsed from the last time the customer made an inquiry. Also, FE will delete the customer information even before three (3) years have elapsed, if so requested by the relevant customer in accordance with the procedures as provided for in Paragraph (８) above.
(10)About Requests related to Personal Information
Customers may make requests relating to their own personal information. Such requests include those for the 1) notification of the intended use of personal information, 2) disclosure of personal information, 3) correction, addition, or deletion of personal information, and 4) cessation of use, purge, or cessation of disclosure to third parties of personal information. For details of the procedure for making such requests, please see the section entitled Procedure for Requests related to Personal Information.
(11)Notice to Customers 15 Years or Younger
Customers aged 15 years old or younger must first obtain consent from a parent or guardian before making inquiries.
(12)Inquiries related to the handling of customer information
Please contact the Inquiry Office in regards to Personal Information if you have any questions or comments regarding the handling of customer information.
4.Copyrights and Use Rights
You may use various engineering data, computer programs, software, etc. provided by FE, under the conditions set forth by FE. For details, please refer to Sections 1. through 5. of the Terms of Services.
5.Revisions to this Page
FE may revise this page at any time by posting the revised version hereof on this website.
6.Language
This page is provided in Japanese and other languages. However, the Japanese version shall be the original. In the event of any conflict between the Japanese version and another language’s version, the Japanese version shall prevail.
7.Governing Law
This page shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
8.Dispute Settlement
Any dispute, doubt or controversy arising out of or in connection with this page between you and FE shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court in Japan as the court of first instance. However, in case you are a legal entity, an organization or an individual existing in a country or a region other than Japan, such dispute shall be finally settled by arbitration in Tokyo, Japan in accordance with the Arbitration Rules of The Japan Commercial Arbitration Association. The language used in the arbitration shall be Japanese.
Notice to customers inquiring from outside Japan
If you are making an inquiry from outside Japan, please read the following before submitting your inquiry.
1.Your personal data provided in making your inquiry will be transferred to Japan and stored in FE’s server in Japan.
2.The provision of your personal data to FE is optional. However, if you do not provide such data, FE may not respond to your inquiry.
3.You may withdraw your consent for use and transfer of your personal data at any time. If you withdraw your consent, FE will immediately stop using your personal data and suspend responses to your inquiries, and then delete your personal data.
4.You have the right of data portability applicable to your personal data. In addition, you may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority and FE.
