Exhaust Gas Cleaning System for Marine Vessels (SOx Removal Cyclone Scrubber)

  • Business Group & Production Technology Group
  • Industry Solution
  • Safety and Security
  • Achieves downsizing and desulfurization utilizing the world’s first cyclone system.
  • Operable in all sea areas using currently available fuels as per 2020 exhaust emission regulations.
  • Is an all-in-one configuration and does not needs on-site assembly.

International Maritime Organization (IMO) has set an upper limit on the sulfur content in marine vessel fuels based on MARPOL Annex VI. The graph below shows the upper limit of sulfur content. In 2020, the regulation will be strengthened to 0.5% even for general waters outside of emission control areas (ECA).

By mounting the scrubber to the system, currently available class C heavy oils can be used as before.

Droplet spraying technology

Improves SOx dissolution and contributes to downsizing through our proprietary “spray nozzle placement (*1)” and “branch pipe spiral structure (*2)” (50% improvement over conventional volume).
