We are developing power electronics products that utilize the features of SiC diodes and SiC transistors capable of high-speed switching and lower loss.
These developments have contributed to expanding the scope of SiC device application to include motor drive inverters, mega solar power conditioning sub-systems and the drive systems of Shinkansen trains (bullet trains). As a new applied product, we have developed a waterproof and dustproof type SiC mounted environmentally resistant inverter prototype that achieves low loss without the need of being installed inside a dedicated panel.
Furthermore, SiC devices can also support higher withstand voltages, and we are currently developing a technology for applying a 13 kV device to distribution systems.
