Synchro-Safe Contact Mounted Emergency Stop Push Button Switches

We have developed an emergency stop push button switch that is capable of separating the operation part attached to a panel from the contact part having contact points. In conventional structures, the NC (normally closed) contact points enter a closed state when the operation part and contact part are separated (Fig. 2). This structure, regardless of the operating state, was susceptible to equipment and machinery start-ups when the contact part was separated due to reasons such as excessive operation of the operation part and mounting mistakes.

Our newly developed push button switch has a structure (Fig. 1) for which the NC contact opens simultaneously with the separation of the contact part, via a mechanism built into contact block, thereby preventing equipment and machinery from starting.
