Upgrade service details

This new service gives the registered users of Expert (D300win) direct access to the latest version of the software through the upgrade feature on the Fuji Electric FA website. Users can download the most recent version of the software from the website at their convenience.

Main changes in the latest version: V3.6.9.16 (May 2016)

(1) Improvement of function

• Added the mode to exclude "comment" from search target in the global find and replace.
• In the downloading zip project to the user ROM, add the function which can be downloaded automatically in the designated date and time.
• In the display mode of LD/FBD program with variable comment, improve to display variable comment during monitoring.
• In the replace function, improve to use "Replace All" button at the find direction “Up”.

(2) Problem correction

• The problem which can't be downloaded in the multi-CPU configuration of SPH3000MG and SPH3000 was corrected.
• In the optimization compilation mode of SPH3000, the problem that the fatal failure "WDT up error" is occurs when the program with "INT_TO_DINT" and "UINT_TO_DINT" was downloaded, was corrected.

   1. Improvement of function
      • Added the batch replace function of more than one text in the global replace.
      • Added the function which computes the tact cycle of SX bus or E-SX bus with system configuration.

      • On English O/S, the problem that "the POU size" and "the FB instance size" of compiler setting aren't set right was corrected.

   2. Problem correction
      • The problem that the circuit which is under the jump instruction isn't printed on the execution order may be occurred was corrected.
      • When "F10" key was pressed to change the double-byte character, the problem that the “File” menu is chosen was corrected.
      • In the global find, when the text is searched at the input/output parameter in the user FB, the problem that the error was occurred.
      • In multi-CPU configuration of SPH3000MG, when the program of CPU0 was changed in on-line mode, the problem that the compile error was occurred on program of CPU1 was corrected.
      • The problem that PC will be in the blue screen state during USB communication was corrected.

3. V3.6.6.11 (July 2014)
   1. Improvement of function
      • Improve to install the USB communication driver from the program menu.
      • In the system definition, the maximum check value of the number of input-and-output of remote I/O of OPCN-1 interface module was changed into 128W from 64W.
   2. Problem correction
      • When the project of the previous version was used by V3.6.5.19, the problem that "The file error" may be occurred was corrected.
      • When the option of “Do not change the address of the variable which has been compiled last time” is ON, the problem that the compile error may be occurred was corrected.
      • In the SX control utility, the problem which cannot search an address was corrected.

5. V3.6.4.8 (October 2013)
   1. Improvement of graphic editor function
      • In the SFC program editor, improve to display the error when the result of the copy and the movement operation does not suit the mapping rule of the SFC symbol.
      • Improve to become the compile error when an illegal character is input to the I/O address of the variable property dialog.
   2. Problem correction
      • In the FBD editor, the problem that the circuit might collapse was corrected when the symbol was copied and moved for the keyboard operation.
      • In the English version, the problem that the compression project was not able to be up-loaded from UROM was corrected.
      • In the ST work-sheet, the problem that the error occurred when the line including the array was dragged while monitoring was corrected.

       A function that lets the user set the scope of access restrictions has been added for use with the function that was added in V3.3.2.0 to set restrictions on PLC online operation. A password can now be used to set the restricted functions for each access level.
    2. Adding a ladder program printing function with cross-references
       A function was added that allows project printing to print cross-reference data on the same page as the program.
    3. Improving the dialog box for defining variables
       The default display for the "Display all worksheet variables" function, for setting global variable groups in the dialog box for defining variables, has been changed to "With setting".
    4. Tool chip display of variable data
       The data format, initial value, comments, etc. for each variable can be displayed in tool chip format on the worksheet.

Upgrading procedure

1. Create a new folder on the computer's hard disk.
2. Download the V3.6.9.16 upgrade file (ExpertUpdateV36916.exe) to the new folder.
3. Double click the downloaded file. (The upgrade is a self-extracting file.)
4. The file will be extracted to the same folder.
5. Double click the extracted Setup.exe file.
6. Follow the prompts from the installer program to upgrade the software.
7. Expert (D300win) will start up when the installation is completed. Check Info from the Help menu to make sure the version number is V3.6.9.16.

   * NOTE

   To use on Windows Vista and Windows7, administrator's right is necessary for the installation.
   Install the program according to the procedure below.

   • Select "Setup.exe" in the Explorer window after extracting the update file, and right-click this.
   • Select "As the administrator" from the right-clicking menu.
   • Following the instructions from the installer to install the program.

Upgrading precautions

1. Make sure that NP4H-SEDBV3/Expert (D300win) is already installed on the computer prior to upgrading the software.
2. The software cannot be upgraded if the computer does not have Expert (D300win) version 3.0.0.0 or later already installed on it.
3. Do not begin the installation if the upgrade file is not exactly the same size as the file that was downloaded. If they are not the same size, throw all of them into the trash and download the upgrade file again.
4. Be sure to quit all programs that are currently running (e.g., Expert (D300win), SX control utility, or message manager) prior to the installation.
5. If the installation fails due to an error, try to install the software again. If the installation fails again, re-install the previous version of Expert (D300win) from the setup CD and then try to install the upgrade software again.
