A FUJI MMS is UL-listed as a self-protected Combination
Motor Controller, such as TYPE E and TYPE F. The advantage
of a self-protected Combination Motor Controller is that
it can replace a UL489 Circuit Breaker. This means that
in a motor branch circuit, the UL489 Circuit Breaker upstream
can be eliminated. You can save on the cost of UL489 Breakers,
as well as make a smaller panel.
