FUJI Manual Motor Starters (MMS) are intended for manual
motor starting applications. As UL-listed manual motor
controllers per UL508, they provide overload protection
but are to be installed with short circuit protection
devices such as fuses or circuit breakers upstream. However,
the National Electrical Code (NEC) allows elimination
of the short circuit protection devices, hence you can
save on the cost of these devices.
