There are a variety of fluids that flow in pipes, such as water, oil, or milk; this depends on the type of operation. The flowmeter is a measurement instrument that measures proper flow rates of fluid that flows in those pipes. The types of flowmeters vary from the type to install directly on a pipe to the type to install outside of a pipe. When measuring beverage flow rates, however, a flowmeter cannot be installed inside the pipe due to hygiene reasons. It requires installation work. For these reasons, ultrasonic flowmeters, which can measure any kind of fluid flow rate from outside of a pipe, are popular today.
