TOKYO -- Fuji Electric Co., Ltd. (TSE:6504) has donated an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) to Thammasat University for Rangsit Center as part of its aid in Thailand's flood affected areas. The donation ceremony was held on May 3rd.

Fuji Electric is the parent company of Fuji Electric Technology Co., Ltd. – focusing on sales and engineering of power distribution equipment and control panels, and Fuji Electric Power Supply (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (FPT) – a UPS manufacturer. Fuji Electric develops business in the country, owing to the continued support of the people of Thailand.

"We are very happy that Fuji Electric's VIP came here and has intent to give help to Thammasat University," said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kampol, Vice Rector at Rangsit Center of Thammasat University. "We hope the UPS that Fuji Electric donated to us will be useful to all Thammasat staff at Rangsit center and general hospital."

Rangsit Center, located nearby FPT's facilities, was hit with severe flooding last year. The scope of the damage caused by the two meter flood forced a delay to the start of the school semester. This gift supports the reconstruction of the extensively damaged IT center, after consultation with Thammasat University stakeholders.
