Release of the MICREX-SX Series Integrated Controller SPH3000MM

Fuji Electric Co., Ltd., announces today the sales release of the SPH3000MM model in its MICREX-SX series of integrated controllers. The SPH3000MM achieves optimal control over drive system equipment such as inverters.


1. Background

Against the backdrop of steady economic growth in China and the rest of Asia, press lines and rolling equipment for iron and steel are rapidly expanding in scale. This, in turn, complicates drive control systems for equipment that use inverters or other electronics. Accordingly, demand is growing for high-speed, high-accuracy, large-capacity controllers for the drive system equipment used at such facilities.
  The SPH3000MM comes with Fuji Electric’s ultra-high-speed E-SX bus,※ which enables a transmission rate four times quicker and a transmission capacity eight times greater than previous models, thereby realizing the highest level of drive system control in the industry.

※ The E-SX bus is the transmission line between the controller and the drive system equipment. The E-SX bus is Fuji Electric’s original product.


2. Specifications
(1) High-speed, high-accuracy E-SX bus
  • Achieves transmission speed of 100 megabits per second (Mbps)—four times the speed of previous Fuji Electric models—and a distance of 100 meters between stations for a total distance of one kilometer
(2) Dual microcomputer architecture
  • Capable of synchronized control of eight inverters with processing speed of 0.25 milliseconds
